Thomson - Téléavia - Téléfunken - Brandt

Technical Info

See also the page about RECS80 code : recs80.html

Teleavia, Telefunken, Saba use the same code that Thomson.(In fact, this is
the same company). I discovered that Pioneer (a tv) and Brant (a vcr) use the
same code but I don't know if it's true always for all the product of these
brands.
For Telefunken, there is probably an another code before it became a Thomson's
company.

Code length:    11 bits for Tv,
                12 bits for Vcr
Carrier:        34kHz

There is no header.

Space between two transmission:  -37 ms for the Vcr
                                 -52 ms for the Tv

It's the RECS80 code (I'm sur for the Tv, but I don't think for the Vcr).
This code is produce by some Philips' chip like the SAA3004 or the SAA3007 or
the SAA3008. They could be decode by the SAA3049 (you can found documentation
of this chip on the Philips semiconducteur web page.)

For Tv:
             +--+
1 is coded:  |  |
           ..+  +------+..
             500us 8100us

             +--+
0 is coded:  |  |
           ..+  +----+..
             500 5200us

Description of the 11 bits:
- 2 bits of repetition: T1 and T0
- 3 bits of addresse always at "1"
- 6 bits of data: from D5 to D0
If the same code is transmit twice whitout the 2 bits of repetition have
changed, the tv doesn't consider the code.

  +----+----+---+---+---+----+----+----+----+----+----+
  | T1 | TO | 1 | 1 | 1 | D5 | D4 | D3 | D2 | D1 | D0 |
  +----+----+---+---+---+----+----+----+----+----+----+

For Vcr
             +--+
1 is coded:  |  |
           ..+  +------+..
             500us 4500us

             +--+
0 is coded:  |  |
           ..+  +----+..
             500 2000us

Description of the 12 bits:
- 4 bits of addresse: from A3 to A0
- 1 bit  of repetition: T0
- 7 bits of data: from D6 to D0
If the same code is transmit twice whitout the bit of repetition have
changed, the Vcr doesn't consider the code.

  +----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+
  | A3 | A2 | A1 | A0 | T0 | D6 | D5 | D4 | D3 | D2 | D1 | D0 |
  +----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+

A3 to A0 : #0h for VCR number one, #1h for VCR number two

                         +--+
                         |  |
After the last bit a ( ..+  +  ) is transmitted to terminate the last bit.
                         500us
It's available for Tv and Vcr.
